The hotel was a comfortable base for enjoying a local area, near "Sassi di Matera" and a charming restaurant a short walk away, that's located in a cave dwelling and the center of historic city. The location was perfect, a 10-15 minute walk from an art museum. The restaurant was located within 400 feet.

The breakfast restaurant opposite was a delightful surprise, perfect for enjoying a buffet while overlooking a parking lot. The free WiFi in public areas was like finding a hidden treasure - you have to wander around to find a good signal.
Missing the excitement of paying for WiFi in my room. Just what every posh lady needs!

There are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby, allowing guests to enjoy delicious meals without having to travel far. the rooms are spacious and well-designed, offering a comfortable stay. the bathrooms are also spacious and provide all the necessary amenities.

Title: Awesome location and amazing hosts!
If there's one thing we'd ask for, it's more vibrant nightlife options for young party-goers. Matera is great for history and culture, but we wished there were more options for evening entertainment that catered to our energetic group.

I had the most amazing experience staying at Piano Piano - Rooms in Matera. Giuseppe and Tiziana, the hosts, were not only great hosts, but also warm and kind people. From the prompt and friendly communication to the small personal exchanges, they made me feel like a very special guest. Apart from their exceptional hospitality, the place itself was extremely lovely. the accommodation had so much history and was immaculately clean and comfortable. I highly recommend staying here if you want a memorable and enjoyable stay in the Sassi.
Nothing negative to say 😊.
